Welcome.

About me
Hi, I am Max Knowles. A Qualified Person Centred Therapist, based in Cheltenham , Gloucestershire.
I am a member of The British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists ( BACP) and The National Counselling Society (NCS) .
Alongside my private practice, I have rewarding voluntary roles with my local Sue Ryder Hospice and I support clients as part of a local counselling charity based in Cirencester.
I know from my own experience, that life can sometimes be a struggle. Events and experiences can leave us feeling overwhelmed , isolated and directionless . At such times, reaching out for help can feel very difficult and it is important that your search leads you to someone you feel you can trust . Counselling is an opportunity to explore thoughts and feelings which might be affecting many different areas of your life. With careful and empathic listening, I endeavour to support you in finding your own way through what is often too complex and difficult to manage alone.
I can provide one-to-one counselling where together, we can explore both your past and present experiences. I understand how difficult it can be to make that first step. The counselling I provide is non-judgemental and confidential, I offer a calm place where we can work collaboratively, to find solutions to your personal issues.
